Rafferty’s Restaurant & Pub, which was established in the
Spring of 2006, will be closing its doors on Saturday, April 4th 2015. John and
I have decided to head into semi-retirement to enjoy more time with our family
and 3 grandchildren, and enjoy more traveling.
One of our passions has been to be able to serve customers
with allergies, especially those with Celiac Disease. We have been very
fortunate to have a great staff that have all been trained for gluten awareness
and made it their passion as well. We were recognized as having one of the
largest gluten free menus in New England (Best of NH 2009).
It has been very rewarding to be able to give back to the
community in so many ways. Through various fundraisers (golf tournaments, N.
Conway Fire Dept. vs. Bill Lee Softball challenge, Pet program, Be Kind
Festival, Taste of the Valley, Chilifest and Mud Bowl to name a few) we have
been able to give back. Our free Thanksgiving dinner, served for the past 4
years, is by far our most rewarding community event, thanks to the help of our
staff, family and volunteers for giving their time for a good cause.
We will continue to host Celiac Awareness meetings, with
our next meeting being Sunday, May 3rd 2-4pm at the Jackson Community Church.
Please continue to follow us on our website, www.raffspub.com. We will have our
famous whoopee pies and brownies (gluten free of course!) available to order.
Our desserts will also be available at the Met for purchase as well.
As for the restaurant & property, it is on the market as a
turn-key operation through Badger Realty. It is our hope that someone will
purchase it with the same passion we have had for serving a gluten free menu.
It has been our privilege to serve our customers for
almost a decade. We would like to thank everyone for their business and support
over the years. We wouldn't be here without you.
